Studio Projects
The work that comes out of this studio ranges from furniture to functional objects, each built around the same principles: honest materials, thoughtful joinery, designs that improve with age and use. Some projects begin as single commissions that evolve into collections. Others start as personal explorations that find their audience over time. Wood species vary—oak, walnut, maple, occasionally something more unusual—but the approach remains consistent. Every piece is made to order, allowing for customization in scale, finish, and detail. This is furniture and objects for daily life, built with care in Portland.

The Clock Collection
THE CLOCK COLLECTION Like most collections, this started with one piece, a slab of teak I'd saved for years. When I finally built that first clock, the design felt right: solid wood, circular geometry, quiet function. Customer requests turned one into many. Different sizes, different wood, soak, walnut, thermo poplar with black ink. A holiday order pushed the collection into existence. Now there are five sizes, all handcrafted to order in Portland. Portraits of Friends
THE PORTRAITS COLLECTION This collection captures the distinct personality of each animal through watercolor. The first portrait confirmed it worked. Honest observation, deliberate technique, character that comes through clearly. Each animal with a different temperament, portraits you can connect with. These aren't generic animals, they're individuals with their own way of being, friends. The collection grows steadily, all hand-painted in Portland.

Special Commissions
Some projects arrive with specific needs—a table for a particular room, shelving for an awkward wall, a piece that solves what standard furniture can't. Commissions allow for exact dimensions, custom joinery, wood selection that matches existing pieces or introduces something new. The process starts with conversation: what the space requires, how it will be used, what details matter most. From there, it's design, material, and build—one piece made precisely for where it will live. Schedule a conversation.
